Leadership
Training for all
Our Solutions
Since our inception, Catalyzer has functioned with the foundational belief that we cannot help until we understand. Developing that understanding is accomplished via a process we (and others) refer to as “Discovery.” While Discovery can take many forms, it is sacrosanct, most effectively executed on-site, at your organization, with your leaders, and “on our dime.” This kickstarts relationships – critical in how we do business and support organizations.
Discovery is followed immediately by a “Blueprint” – a document that outlines how we propose addressing your organizational needs. It outlines the what, why, when, and how much, which are negotiated to find the solution that works best for your organization.
Upon program approval, we move into program execution where we pride ourselves on “turn-key” delivery and low-maintenance requirements. We build our own curriculum, acquire and reproduce all required materials, coordinate our own travel, and arrive at your training location ready to deliver. Facilitation is most often accomplished by two Catalyzer facilitators so we can provide a diversity of thought and approach to each cohort. It’s a constructivist, flipped-classroom approach to facilitation where we believe our primary responsibility is to get participants thinking by asking the right questions and then getting out of the way. A multi-region training director for McDonald’s told us, “This may be the best facilitation team I’ve ever observed.”
Programs can be one-off, but in over 65% of our relationships, we’re reengaged an average of 5.14 times, resulting in multi-year partnerships that average just under 2.5 years.

Custom Programs
Journeys to
greatness
These custom programs are generally targeted to a single cohort of 10-20 leaders and encompass anywhere from four to eight skills-focused modules. These modules are identified in collaboration with the supported organization, and are packaged for delivery in four-hour time blocks, delivered on-site at your location. On-site visits are separated by four to six weeks to provide participants time for practice and reflection prior to our introducing a new skill. Visits are additionally “bridged” with directed journaling and reading programs, where appropriate. A single Journey to Greatness initiative would traditionally unfold over the course of 12 months.
Foundational
Programs
Leadership
kickstarters
Where an organization may be uncertain about a longer effort, or unable to invest the resources for our Journeys to Greatness, Catalyzer offers more abbreviated programs. These range from a single leadership-focused day where we package the most pertinent leadership topics for a given organization (typically two to three modules), to multi-day/week-long programs with very specific learning objectives.
One-on-one
coaching
Over the last decade, Catalyzer has provided one-on-one coaching for dozens of leaders from Presidents/CEOs to night-shift production leads. We take care to pair coaches and coachees deliberately, with an eye toward ensuring the two personalities will generate an honest, transparent exchange. Coaching typically occurs virtually, unless embedded as part of a larger in-person program. Our coaches are certified through the International Coaching Federation, and we invest in other coaching certification programs to meet identified needs (Great Game of Business, Business Impact Coaching, etc.).
People-focused
project execution
From absenteeism to succession planning, Catalyzer can address a wide spectrum of people and culture issues that staff may not have the knowledge or bandwidth to address. Whatever the people-focused initiative an organization may have in mind, these too often land on the desk of an already overburdened senior leader and lie dormant for significant timeframes – all while the opportunity for which that initiative was conceived may be passing by. Catalyzer gets it done. Done right. Done now.
Fractional chief
learning officers
In many ways, Catalyzer already fills a de facto “Fractional Chief Learning Officer” (FCLO) role for organizations we partner with. Consequently, we expanded our service offerings to include this support more formally. The FCLO aligns with two important industry trends: an increased emphasis on learning and development, and greater adoption of fractional executives. Catalyzer offers deep and broad expertise, speed, flexibility, and a cost-effective solution. We identify skills gaps, assess the current portfolio of learning and development initiatives, and develop a robust L&D strategy that aligns with a business’s objectives.
