Ronnie Spellman joined the Board of Directors at Catalyzer in 2022 after working with the organization for nearly 10 years as a client and business partner.
He is a trusted executive leader with several decades of experience building efficient operations, successful outcomes, strong relationships, and long-lasting business partnerships. His traditional business values and code of ethics have centered on providing quality products, value to the customer, and exceptional service.
Ronnie brings a wealth of experience to Catalyzer from across multiple industries and firms including: technology, SaaS and software development, healthcare, manufacturing, data analytics, and construction development companies. He has overseen diverse business disciplines such as purchasing, contracts, budgeting and strategy development, human resources, information technology, marketing, government relations, and project management. He offers Catalyzer broad and diverse insight to organizations and their business requirements.
As a senior executive, Ronnie has held a number of critical positions including: President of the southern U.S. operations for an IT firm and the Chief Operating Officer for a professional engineering design and consulting firm. With the latter organization, he led business operations restructuring, won the MarCom Gold Award for a company rebranding and marketing effort, and navigated the company through COVID.
He also served as the Vice President of Operations for the technology division of a privately owned healthcare company with over $1 billion in annual revenue and more than 8,000 employees, where his team was responsible for the implementation of proprietary software across healthcare companies and government agencies. He also held the role of Regional Director of Strategic Sourcing for a publicly traded Fortune 500 real estate developer with over $16 billion in annual revenue and more than 14,000 employees. Here, he was responsible for negotiating and implementing construction contracts worth hundreds of millions annually with subcontractors, distributors, and manufacturers. Additionally, Ronnie has served as the Head of Human Resources for several national, privately held, high-growth companies where he was responsible for building strategic and operationally focused full-service human resource programs.
Ronnie is a graduate of Virginia Tech and early in his career, he worked on the engineering team at the global technology company Canon. He later served as a scholar in the Office of Congressional Affairs at NASA and interned in the U.S. Senate.
Beyond his corporate experience and for more than 25 years, Ronnie has participated in a variety of community organizations that included serving as the Chairman of the Board for Interlink, a Texas-based regional nonprofit alliance bridging the gap between business, education and government to develop a quality workforce with a globally competitive advantage. Additionally, Ronnie has served on the Advisory Board for several Universities, the Board of Directors for multiple Chambers of Commerce, and as Chairman of the Board for a division of the March of Dimes.
Today, Ronnie continues to serve as a keynote speaker at business forums and academic institutions. He is also the host of the business podcast “Business Decoded.”
